Hey, I’m Cris!

I’m an industrial designer currently working in the automotive industry, with a focus on visualization, form, and concept development. I fell in love with using design as a method of thought exploration — a way to evolve ideas through sketching, modeling, and building visuals that ultimately bring a meaningful object to life.

My approach to design has been shaped by a mix of cultural and professional experiences. After studying industrial design at Iowa State University, I moved to Brazil, where I now work within the automotive industry. Perceiving the world through different contexts has pushed me to think carefully about how design is shaped by its environment, its users, and the realities it needs to live within.

I see design as a balance between creativity and technical understanding. I enjoy working within constraints, helping teams think through possibilities while making informed decisions, and refining ideas until they feel cohesive and purposeful. I’m drawn to environments where design is treated as a thoughtful, iterative process—grounded in reality, but still driven by curiosity and exploration.

When I’m not designing, I’m usually exploring new places with my camera, staying active by playing beach tennis, or experiencing other worlds through film and video games.
